Redefining Home
South Auckland Kitchen + Bathroom Renovation 2023
Safety, function, and beauty — for a family with a little one underfoot.
When Emel and Liya decided to renovate, they weren’t just looking for a visual upgrade. With a young boy at home, they needed a space that was safe, functional, and still beautiful enough to feel proud of.
The bathroom tiles were a slip risk — something nobody with kids wants to live with. The kitchen layout had stopped serving them. They didn’t want to compromise on elegance to fix either.
We designed a renovation around three things, in order: safety, function, beauty. Get them in that order and you get a renovation that lasts.
The Renovation Checklist Auckland homeowners actually use.
A practical, step-by-step planning checklist — design, consent, build, finishes — so nothing important slips. Same checklist we walk every AVR client through before a single wall comes out.

A family home that works as well as it looks.
The new bathroom has textured wall tiles, slip-resistant flooring, soft lighting, warm wood cabinetry and brushed bronze tapware — luxurious, but never a hazard with a child running through.
The kitchen opens to the rest of the home. Waterfall stone benchtops, streamlined cabinetry, and a layout designed for cooking with company. The family time, the safety, and the lasting beauty Emel and Liya asked for — all in one renovation.
Before & After
A closed kitchen, basic fixtures, and slippery bathroom tiles — none of it working for a young family.
Open kitchen with waterfall stone, slip-safe bathroom with brushed bronze tapware, and a home built for family life.
