Add Value Renovations started with a personal renovation. Simon and Joanna needed more space in their Auckland home but didn’t want to move. Simon, a qualified builder, took on the project himself — turning their spare room into a master suite.
The build itself wasn’t the hard part. Coordinating an architect, getting council consent, lining up subcontractors, and keeping everything running while raising a newborn — that was the real challenge. They saw firsthand that renovations needed one person managing the whole thing from start to finish.

Joanna designs spaces around how your family actually lives. She handles layout, finishes, lighting, and colour — so the renovation works for school mornings as well as dinner parties.
Timothy Kim
Tim runs the build on the ground. Daily quality checks, trade scheduling, materials on site when they need to be, and a tidy, safe job — that’s his job, and he’s good at it.
Shirong Zhang
Shirong designs renovations that look great on paper and work in real life. Because he’s in-house with the build team, the plans you sign off are the plans that get built — no costly redesigns mid-project.
Shelley Zhao
Shelley keeps the numbers honest. She builds and maintains our pricing database, so the quote you receive is realistic, transparent, and based on current market rates — not guesswork.
