Stay, Not Sell
Lynfield Kitchen + Bathroom Renovation 2025
When the better house turns out to be the one they already owned.
Kane and Janet weren’t sure whether to move or stay. They walked through other homes for months, hoping to find a better fit. Nothing quite compared to the potential of the one they already lived in.
The bathroom was cramped — the toilet sat in a tiny room of its own, separated from the basin by a wall that had never made sense. The kitchen was small and closed off from the dining, which meant whoever was cooking was alone.
They wanted a partner who could see what the house could become — and could manage the consent, the trades, and the timeline without dropping the ball.

A house that finally lives the way they do.
We merged the separate toilet and bathroom into one larger, fully-tiled space with a walk-in shower — under proper building consent. The kitchen wall came down and the kitchen, dining and living are now one open room with a wood benchtop running the length of the island.
Outside, a new deck with clean glass balustrades extends the living right out into the sun. The home Kane and Janet were thinking of selling is now the home they’re staying in.
Before & After
A small, closed-in kitchen and a cramped bathroom split into two unworkable rooms.
Wall down, open plan, wood-topped island — and a new sun-filled deck just past the dining.
